The criminal justice system, family court, parole hearings, clemency petitions — these are not spaces where good intentions are enough. The people caught inside them need more than someone who cares. They need someone who knows what they're doing. That's the gap I built Growing Beyond Bars Justice Institute to close.

In my courses, you'll learn the way professionals learn: by doing the actual work. That means practicing client intake interviews, building real case files, organizing discovery packages to attorney-ready standards, and understanding exactly where the line of Unauthorized Practice of Law falls — and why honoring it protects everyone. I teach you to be indispensable, not reckless.

Every lesson is grounded in trauma-informed communication, because the people you'll serve have often been failed many times before you arrive. Your technical skills matter. So does how you show up in the room. I teach both.
